1. Agreeing to these terms
By using thequeerhub.net, buying a product, or booking a session, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or the services.
The Queer Hub is a professional limited liability company registered in Arkansas.
2. What The Queer Hub is
Coaching and education for queer, trans, and neurodivergent adults — practical work on routines, environments, sensory needs, self-advocacy, and daily life.
3. What The Queer Hub is not
This is not occupational therapy, medical care, mental health treatment, or therapy of any kind.
Kasen Elrod holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and is a licensed occupational therapist in Arkansas. That training informs how this work approaches sensory systems and daily function. It does not mean that working with The Queer Hub is occupational therapy, and Kasen is not acting as your occupational therapist.
Specifically, The Queer Hub does not:
- Evaluate, assess, diagnose, or treat any condition
- Provide occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, or psychotherapy
- Provide medical, psychiatric, or crisis care
- Prescribe anything, or advise you to change treatment prescribed by someone else
- Replace your doctor, therapist, or any other provider
No provider–patient or therapist–client relationship is created. Nothing on this site or in any session is medical advice.
You remain responsible for your own healthcare decisions and for maintaining your own care team.
4. Who this is for
Services are for adults 18 and over.
Family sessions are with the adult family member as the client. Minors are not clients, are not present in sessions, and are not assessed or advised.
5. Not an emergency service
The Queer Hub is not a crisis service. Messages are not monitored between sessions.
If you are in crisis or at risk of harming yourself or someone else, contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), Trans Lifeline at 877-565-8860, or your local emergency number.
6. Sessions
- Sessions run 60 minutes and are held virtually
- Booking is through the scheduling link provided
- Cancellation: at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. With less notice, the session is used.
- No-show: after 15 minutes with no contact, the session is used
- Rescheduling with adequate notice is always fine
- If Kasen has to cancel, you'll be rescheduled or refunded — your choice
- Packages expire 6 months from the date of purchase
Life happens, and reasonable flexibility is part of how this works. The notice period exists so the practice is sustainable, not to catch you out.
7. Payment and refunds
- Payment is due in full at booking, unless a payment plan is agreed in writing
- All prices are in US dollars
- The Queer Hub is self-pay only and does not bill insurance
Rates
- Single session (60 min) — $120
- 4-session package — $440
- 8-session package — $800
- Planner Setup Session (45 min) — $75
Sliding scale: two sliding-scale spots are open at any time, at $70 per session. No paperwork or explanation needed — just ask. If both are taken, you'll go on the list and hear from me when one opens.
Digital products (planners, workbooks, PDFs): because these are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, all sales are final. If a file is corrupted or won't download, email and it'll be fixed immediately.
Sessions and packages: if you stop partway through a package, unused sessions are refunded — with sessions you've already used charged at the single-session rate rather than the package rate.
Example: you buy 8 sessions for $800 and use 3. Those 3 are charged at $120 each ($360), and $440 is refunded.
Packages expire 6 months from purchase. Unused sessions after that are not refunded.
Physical products: damaged or defective items are replaced. Contact within 14 days of delivery.
8. Digital products — what you can and can't do
When you buy a digital product, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use it.
You may: use it yourself, print copies for your own use, and write all over it.
You may not: resell it, share the file, upload it anywhere, distribute copies, teach from it commercially, or claim it as your own work.
All content — text, layouts, worksheets, graphics, the site itself — is the property of The Queer Hub and protected by copyright.
If you'd like to use something with a group or organization, just ask. Licensing is usually available and the answer is usually yes.
9. No guarantees
Coaching outcomes depend on a lot of things, most of them yours. No specific result is promised or guaranteed.
Everything here is offered for educational and informational purposes. You're responsible for your own decisions and actions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Arkansas law, The Queer Hub and Kasen Elrod are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, the products, or the services.
Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service or product the claim relates to.
11. Ending the working relationship
You can stop at any time, for any reason, with no explanation owed.
The Queer Hub may end an engagement if:
- What you need is outside the scope of coaching
- Clinical care would serve you better
- The working relationship isn't productive
- These terms are violated
If the engagement ends, you'll be told why, helped toward a more appropriate resource where one exists, and refunded for unused sessions per Section 7.
Referring you elsewhere is not a rejection. It's part of the job.
12. Your conduct
Please don't use the site or services to harass anyone, break the law, infringe copyright, or attempt to breach site security. Access may be ended for any of these.
13. Third-party links
The site may link to other sites and resources. Those aren't controlled by The Queer Hub and no responsibility is taken for their content or practices.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas.
15. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The "last updated" date reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site or services after a change means you accept it.
